A friend and former client recently came up with a fantastic idea—to celebrate her son’s transition to high school with an 8th-grade photo shoot. Since we didn’t need the full senior experience, she invited other kids from his class to join in, and I’m so glad she did! Five classmates tagged along, making it a fun and memorable experience.

Eighth grade is such an important time of transition, and I love that we were able to capture them during this special milestone before they grow and change so much over the next few years. It was like a mini version of a senior photo session, and I’m surprised I hadn’t thought of this sooner!

Instead of doing quick, individual sessions, we explored downtown Bartlesville as a group, taking turns snapping photos of each student. Everyone had their moment in the best light and got a variety of unique shots at multiple downtown spots.

I’d love to offer more of these 8th Grade Milestone Sessions in the future, whether for individuals or small groups of friends or classmates! My individual kids sessions are currently $150 or if you have a group of 4 friends to do it together it would be $75 each.
